What is Orange R@dionet: Orange R@dionet is the web radio of Solidarity Tacks organization, placed in Lefkada (Greece), and it is part of the European Commission program titled “Youth in Action”. Orange R@dionet started in January 2010 and its objective has always been to be a dynamic and friendly radio. It tries to create connections between different generations throughout all Europe and, also, between people in local community. As well, it tries to promote the active citizenship of young people and contribute to the local development.

Orange R@dionet history - activities and volunteers

Ophélie Sigg from France - The creator of Orange R@dionet. She was a volunteer in Lefkas from 5th of December 2009 until 5th of September 2010  
Project title: EVS for art culture and solidarity continue
Results of the Activity:
Solidarity Tracks hosted 1 volunteer from France for 8 months in Lefkas in order to cooperate with the local young people via Radio-net who transmit their voice, encourage their creativity and expressions, to develop their civic attitudes and contribute to their involvement in the development of their city.
The volunteer worked with the staff of Solidarity Tracks and cooperated with the members of organization, with different partners of Solidarity Tracks, the local Media during the creation and the implementation of the web radio.
The volunteer did an opinion survey to target the public's expectations, especially the young people to take part of the creation of the different programs of Orange Radio-Net.
She administer the web page of Orange Radio-Net, promoted our web-Radio by made posters, flyers and organized debates/interviews about different subjects. The logo later were changed ......to more attractive and more visible logo, it was also used as a promotional sticker. Promotion of the radio: Posters campaign together with other EVS volunteers on the main street of Lefkada. There were started a Facebook group in order to communicate with listeners and promote Orange R@dioNet.

 

Elizabeth Bodor from Romania - May 2010 until March 2011
Project title: Roads of development
Results of the Activity:
Solidarity Tracks hosted 1 volunteer from Romania for 9 months in Lefkas in order to continue with the management of Orange Radionet. The volunteer worked with the staff of Solidarity Tracks and cooperated with members of the organization, with different partners of Solidarity Tracks, the local Media during the creation and the implementation of the web radio. She administered the web page of Orange Radio-Net, promoted our web-Radio by made posters, flyers and organized debates/interviews about different subjects. She had q good integration in local community and she liked the Greek culture and tradition. She did the last emissions totally in Greek language

Solidarity Tracks hosted 1 volunteer from Latvia for 9 months in Lefkas in order to continue with the management of Orange Radionet.
The volunteer worked with the staff of Solidarity Tracks and cooperated with the members of organization, with different partners of Solidarity Tracks, the local Media during the creation and the implementation of the web radio. She administer the web page of Orange Radio-Net, promoted our web-Radio with interviews about different subjects. She prepared different emission for the web-Radio during her EVS.

Results of the Activity
2 volunteer from Spain for 10 months in Lefkas continued the management of Orange Radionet. The volunteers worked with the staff of Solidarity Tracks and cooperated with the members of organization, with different partners of Solidarity Tracks, the local Media during the creation and the implementation of the web radio. They administered the web page of Orange Radio-Net, promoted our web-Radio by made posters, flyers and organized debates/interviews about different subjects. They started making live emission and they did many changes that improve a lot the Radio. Also, they started with the workshop: Orange R@dionet for children and a completely new design for the website.
Live Emissions!
In November 2011, Silvia and Ana started the live emissions. They created one channel in the site Spreaker. Every Friday, Orange Radionet has a new live emission.
Orange Radionet for children
During summer 2011, Ana and Silvia did radio workshop with 5 lefkadian girls. Every week, they prepared an emission with interviews.

Joanna Myślińska from Poland – 5th of December 2011 until 5th of December 2012

The volunteer worked with the staff of Solidarity Tracks and cooperated with the members of organization, with different partners of Solidarity Tracks, the local Media during the creation and the implementation of the web radio for children. She administer the web page of Orange Radio-Net, promoted our web-Radio with interviews about different subjects. She prepared different emission for the web-Radio during her EVS.

Hosszu Reka from Romania – 7th September 2012 until 7th September 2013
Project title: Be volunteer, be active citizen
Results of the Activity:
Solidarity Tracks hosted 1 volunteer from Romania for 12 months in Lefkas in order to continue with the management of Orange Radionet. The volunteer worked with the staff of Solidarity Tracks and cooperated with members of the organization, with different partners of Solidarity Tracks, the local Media during the creation and the implementation of the web radio. She administered the web page of Orange Radio-Net, promoted our web-Radio by made posters, flyers and organized debates/interviews about different subjects. She created a new logo for the radio, new promotional materials and a totally new design for the webpage.
